
Augustine Habeck is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Art. They were a 2025/2026 University Scholars' Program participant and presented their research, "The Uncanny Nature of Asexual and Aromantic Experience," in the 2026 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium. Their unpublished undergraduate essay "'The Womb of Nature and Perhaps Her Grave': The Battle Against Chaos in Paradise Lost" was cited in Peter Rudnytsky's published psychoanalytic text, Psychoanalysis and the Patriarchal Tradition: Augustine to Milton (2025). Augustine is currently revising their science fiction novel, The Portal Traitor, in hopes of securing professional publication.
Augustine is passionate about storytelling, specifically concerning themes of religion and ritual, gender theory, and asexual/aromantic theory. They hope to use their education to continue their professional creative writing career and continue researching underexplored topics.
